When Are Recitals?

We hold 2 recitals a year. Typically in November and April, although this may be subject to change.

Our aim is to keep recitals to 50-60 minutes and offer several times over the course of a Saturday and Sunday.

When Does Registration Open?

​Recital registration opens about 2-3 months before the recital.

 

We encourage you to not wait! Recitals are very popular and space is limited for each recital time. The final day to register is 2 weeks prior to the recital date.

How much does the Recital Cost?

Recitals are FREE. It is one of the many perks taking lessons at HMA.

How to Prepare for a Recital?

Please discuss recital preparation with your teacher. Students should only perform in one recital time, and performances should be limited to 3-5 minutes or 2 short pieces.

Recital Day
Please arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to the recital to get tuned, setup, and check-in.

 

Students will be lined up in the first few rows of seating, in order of performance, so as to limit confusion and streamline the event. After they perform, they can go sit with family!
